Working Groups & Policy Council

Roundtable Working Groups

Comprised of experts and clinicians in critical care and public health, the Roundtable's Working Groups are vital to its policy agenda. Through regular discussion, the Working Groups help identify areas of consideration for policy action, formulating the content of specific advocacy and communications initiatives, and providing expertise on legislative and regulatory issues that impact the delivery of critical care. The Roundtable's policy priorities fall under the purview of three Working Groups:

  • Outcomes & Innovation: Assess the current U.S. research infrastructure, health care delivery system issues and the adequacy of the U.S. critical care workforce.
  • National Preparedness & Infrastructure: Identify the challenges and needs for optimizing delivery of high-quality critical care services in the event of a major public health crisis.
  • End-of-Life Care: Consider the adequacy of the current policy framework for providing appropriate and compassionate end-of-life care.

Roundtable Policy Council

The Roundtable draws expertise and guidance from a Policy Council made up of leaders in thought and action from among a wide array of key disciplines. The Policy Council was designed to inform and help shape the Roundtable's policy efforts and provide an intellectual resource to balance policy objectives with real-world dynamics.
